The Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong Elects New President

THE MEXICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IN HONG KONG ANNOUNCES MS. SUSANA MUNOZ AS NEW PRESIDENT FOR THE PERIOD 2020 - 2021

(Hong Kong, September 25, 2020) The Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (MexCham HK) Board of Directors announced today that Ms. Susana Munoz was elected President of MexCham HK and will take office immediately.

Ms. Munoz is currently Managing Partner of GBA LatAm Trade and Investment Advisors Limited. She has over 15 years of experience promoting trade and investment between Mexico and China for the public and private sectors. Most recently, Ms. Munoz was Representative of the Mexican Ministry of Economy in Hong Kong and Consul of Economic Affairs at the Consulate General of Mexico in Hong Kong, a position she held from 2013 to 2019. Ms. Munoz holds an MSSc in Public Policy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, an LLM from Sichuan University, China, and a BPhil in Anthropology from Universidad de las Americas, Puebla, Mexico.

Ms. Munoz is Advisor to CUHK's EMBA program (2020 – 2021) and speaks English, Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

"Susana's professional experience in public and private sectors will help MexCham HK deepen relationships with local and international chambers and organizations. With Susana's leadership, the Chamber will continue to promote businesses in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area, and Greater China."

Ms. Munoz says: "I take this opportunity to thank all of my MexCham HK colleagues. Special thanks go to Mr. Mauricio Lozano, 2018-2020 MexCham HK President, for his long-standing contribution. He was part of the Executive Committee for eight years and took exceptional leadership during the past two years."

Mr. Lozano will remain a member of the board and assist Ms. Munoz during the transitional period.
