About The Event
Few Mexican electronic producers are as versatile as Pepe Mogt. Starting off with industrial music back in 1988, Mogt enhanced his career with different alias until 1999 when he started experimenting with folk sound from the north part of Mexico or to be specific: the sounds of the border between Mexico and the United States. Those experiments leads to the Nortec Sound. He started the label milrecords releasing his own music and electronic music from Tijuana as well of other artists from Latin America.
Pepe Mogt invited local musicians to create the Nortec Collective in 1999 and later created Nortec Collective Presents Bostich+Fussible with his long time partner Ramón Amezcua. They have released three albums and various singles, touring around the world performing as a group or as a solo project in festivals like MUTEK, Glastonbury, SONAR, ULTRA, MWC, Vive Latino, Trópico, FUSION, WOMAD, CRSSD and many others, having been nominated for three grammy's.
Pepe besides Nortec has been creating audio-visual pieces and electronic music projects under his name more in the techno and ambient approach.
