Belt and Road Summit 2022

The 7th edition of the Belt and Road Summit jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council will be held in Hong Kong on 31 August to 1 September 2022.

Last year, the Summit featured more than 80 heavyweight speakers and attracted more than 19,000 viewers from over 80 countries and regions. The Investment and Business Matching Session also received an overwhelming response, with more than 260 investment projects participating and over 770 one-to-one business matching meetings arranged. The Summit would continue to gather senior government officials and influential business leaders from countries along and beyond the Belt and Road to exchange insights on multilateral collaboration and explore concrete business opportunities.

Highlights of Belt and Road Summit 2022

• A 2-day hybrid Summit with 31 August being held physically to provide in-person networking opportunities
• Under the theme “Heralding a New Chapter: Collaborate and Innovate”, the Summit will unveil the latest opportunities along the Belt and Road.
• Senior officials from mainland China, Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand and other Belt and Road countries will reveal the market and policy updates.
• The Chief Executive, Financial Secretary, Secretary for Justice and Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the new-term HKSAR Government will speak at the Summit.
• Distinguished business leaders from Belt and Road and RCEP markets will share insights on how the powerful drivers of economic growth complement to empower cross-border collaboration for businesses of all sizes.
• Extended Business Matching Sessionsbeyond event dates - offering an extended period for connections and meetings to realise business opportunities
