China Legal Update: Business Disruption & Covid

DaWo Law Firm Shanghai has kindly offered to present a three-piece webinar series to update our business communities on the current corporate legal landscape in Mainland China. The three (3) events will occur on July 9, 15, and 23, and are interconnected. We recommend attending all three, if possible.

These three power lunch webinars will be short and punchy, with a brief speaking slot followed by Q&A. Ms. Carmen Bakas will provide moderation. She is an associate professor of International Investment Law at Fudan University, Shanghai, and a Counsel at DaWo.

Our first speaker will be Mr. Philippe Snel. Philippe is the Managing Director of DaWo Law Firm Shanghai and a member of the Brussels Bar. A full-time business lawyer active in China for more than 15 years, Philippe advises mainly in corporate law, compliance, and technology transfer.

This webinar will cover the current business environment in China, primarily concerning the massive business disruption due to Covid-19. Subjects will include bankruptcy, liquidation, and reorganization.
